The Rochester Falls off Souillac are worth a visit, where you can find green crystals formed in the volcanic soil. Spot pink pigeons and giant tortoise at the Ile aux Aigrettes Nature Reserve. The Mahebourg market is a shopping hub with spices, clothes, toys and traditional food like biryani and gateaux piments. Go glamping at the Grand River South East. Journey through verdant hills to the Bois Teri Tea Factory, see giant tortoises and crocodiles at Le Vanille Nature Park, and then continue to the historical Saint Aubin Sugar Estate.
